Richard E Sot

We are sad to announce the unexpected passing of long-term Reno resident, Dr. Richard (Rick) Sot on March 29, 2024. He was born on October 28, 1948 in Sewickley, PA, and was predeceased by his mother Agnes Frances (Robert) Sot, his father, Edward Joseph Sot, and his sister, Dr. Diane Marie Sot, VMD. He is survived by his cousins, Dr. Fred Prochaska of San Jose, CA, and Marion Ferrang of Sewickley, PA. 

Richard received a bachelor's degree in mathematics from the University of Toledo and a Ph.D. degree in mathematics from the University of Rochester. He previously worked as a faculty member at Illinois Wesleyan University of Nevada, Reno.
